"Customer states they are getting a gas odor from the vent on the outside of the house. They are not smelling any gas inside the house and it is not setting off any carbon monoxide detectors. Check control for error code. None were found. Removed front panel and found lint buildup in the machine and the blower housing. Cleared lint to make sure it was not getting hot. Customers vent is almost collapsed behind it and has lots of kinks. Customer also stated that where it goes into the basement it has lots of 90? bends. Advised customer to have the vents cleaned and possibly modified to prevent so many 90s. The odor is the buildup of lint and its getting hot. If the unit had a gas leak, they would smell inside the house not in the vent outside. Checked all gas lines for leaks with gas leak detector. No gas leaks from the unit. All OK. If problems still persists after customer has vents cleared we will need to replace the igniter."

Removed belt cover and found the drive pulley loose and slipping on the splines. Removed and reinstalled drive pulley. Ran again to test. No more abnormal noises. Drive pulley became loose from a large load. Customer had ran a cycle with large rugs in it. This weighed the unit down enough to cause the pulley to contact the cover and loosen. Advised customer on load size to prevent this from happening again. Unit is operating as it should. If the problem occurs, we will need to bring out the drive pulley."

Ran diagnostics to verify correct operation. Unit is operating as it should. Select deep rinse when using fabric softener. To clean the washer: Set water level to max, set cycle to bulky, set temperature to hot, and select deep rinse. Add cleaning tablet to an empty tub. Start the machine and allow it to finish the cycle. Do this every 3 months."

First thing I noticed was that the freezer was completely packed full. Upon arrival temperatures in the freezer section was about 23?. And 37? in the fridge. Removed all items from the freezer. Removed shelf. Removed evaporator cover. Found that the compressor was running. Evaporator fan checked good. compressor fan checked good. But there was no frost pattern. Customer has a sealed system leak. Customer declined repair.

"Inspected the unit and found the gearcase grinding and locked up. Attempted to remove the washplate and ran the unit through an agitate cycle and the gearcase was locked into the spin cycle and constantly rotated the entire tub. Entered diagnostics and ran multiple cycle, found 2 of the component cycles not running, when activated they simply would not run. The unit is 4 years old. Inspected unit and found the unit completely dead. Found no voltage coming to it at all. Traced cord back to find outlet and tested it and found no voltage from the outlet. Had customer plug into a different outlet and unit started properly. Tested unit to make sure it would run and drain properly. Advised getting the outlet looked at. All checks ok.
