Touch screen is not responding, customer thinking about repair.

Inspected the unit and found the bake element had been replaced and the display panel not attached to the unit. Found a wiring harness connector for the display board damaged (photos attached). Researching part availability and found this panel is no longer available from our parts providers. Unit was manufactured in January 1998. Provided info to the customer.

Disassembled the door and made adjustments to the door latch. Unit is now functioning and running properly.

Installed icemaker and defrosted the fill tube. Applied permagum around the fill tube. All checks OK

Install parts and advised the customer could take several days for the ice production returns. All checks OK

Installed all provided parts and verified correct operation. All ok.

Customer states that unit wont drain. Inspected unit and found pump getting voltage but not moving. Replaced drain pump and ran to test. Unit is drawing in as it should. All ok. ; used 1 W11497943 (Drain pump) from stock

"Unit is 11 years old in the laundry room. Customer states that unit is leaking from underneath. They ran the unit and when they came back they found the room flooded. Inspected unit and found the cold water valve leaking. Ran speed wash to test for other leaks. No other leaks present. Hot water valve is in good shape, door boot has no holes/tears, drain pump and hose are good. Unit needs cold water valve. Installed new valve and ran to test. No more leaks. All ok. ; used 1 5220FR2075L (Cold valve) from stock"

"Inspected the unit and found the dryer not receiving 240 V from the main board and terminal. Found the control board not responding for the wash machine. Removed the front panel and also found a large amount of socks and clothes underneath the unit. The gear case was leaking what appeared to be a whitish brown slime coming from the gear case. Photos taken. Called Aarons and advised of the issues and estimate, they are declining the repair at this time."

Inspected the unit and found it not properly running through the defrost cycle. Entered diagnostics and reset the board and defrost sensor switched to a basic 8 hour defrost off smart defrost. Tested fans and dampener door. All checks ok. Tested defrost element and it activated. Advised the customer they still need to defrost the unit.

Inspected the unit and found a large crack in the ice bin. Called Assurant with issue and they advised the part was not covered because it is considered a cosmetic/consumable part. Notified customer and provided part number.

Installed all supplied parts leveled unit ran rinse and spin tested good.

Installed new transmission ran spin test checked good.

Pulled wall oven replaced cooling fan assembly tested good.

"Inspected the unit and found that both fans were frozen up due to electrical issues within the home. Also, the control was in need of a reset. Removed evaporator cover. Removed evaporator fan for fridge. Removed all ice off both fans. Reassembled the unit reset the control. Ran a test cycle. All checks OK"

Inspected the unit and found that it was off level. Leveled the unit by adjusting all 4 feet. And adding a block. From there it was in need of a firmware update. Updated firmware. Ran a test cycle. All checks OK

Inspected the unit and found a failed compressor. Informed American home shield that we do not service this style of compressor. Got authorization for trip charge. Authorization # 107pahm

Unit has wiring issue in cabinet causing unit to freeze in fresh food section and the display is working intermittently. Called HBW - Miranda and they will contact customer

Installed new parts listed all checked okay

Inspected the unit. Ran the unit through diagnostics. Found an error code for failed Communication between the control and the actuator. Ran a test on the actuator. Actuator tests good. Tested spin, spin tested good. Tested agitate on low and high. Both tested good. Noticed that the unit was off level. Leveled the unit and re-calibrated the computer. All checks OK

Inspected the unit and found a failed heating element. Also found that the customers vents were only allowing about 50% to 60% of airflow. Advised for them to get them cleaned. Replaced heating element with truck stock. Ran a test cycle. All checks OK ; used 1 D518838 (HEATER) from stock

Inspected the unit and found that the icemaker has become partially unplugged. Plugged unit in. Ran through a test cycle. All checks OK

Inspected the unit and found a failed ice maker. Replaced ice maker with truck stock. Ran a test cycle and found that the water at the wall was not hooked up. Informed that the customer get the water on and they will be good to go at that point. Unit checked OK ; used 1 5303918277 (ICE MAKER) from stock

"Inspected the unit and found a torn door seal. Informed the customer that door seal was not covered. Also found that the drain trap had never been cleaned. Causing the unit to not drain properly. Removed drain trap, cleaned it out. Ran a test cycle. All checks OK"

Inspected the unit and found a failed water pump. Replaced water pump with truck stock. Ran a test cycle. All checks OK ; used 1 3363394 (PUMP) from stock

Inspected unit and found both compartments warmer than what it should be. Opened freezer and found a large amount of frost buildup. Put unit into self test mode and found an error for the freezer defrost. Evaporator fan also was not running. Gave customer quote for repair. Customer wants time to think.

Inspected unit and found unit not heating at all. Took unit apart and found heating element testing open. Also found the moisture sensor bars not plugged in. Replaced heating element and tested unit. Unit would heat up properly but when checking airflow outside of the unit I found none. I recommended to customer to get someone to look at vent line. Inspected unit and found the display not lit up in some segments. Customer was also concerned about discoloration of glass cooktop. Informed customer that the discoloration over time and use is normal. Replaced display board. All checks ok. ; used 1 DG07-01005A (LED DISPLAY) from stock

Inspected unit and found washer not draining properly. Accessed drain filter and showed customer how to do this. Found drain filter completely clogged. Dumped out filter and put it back. Unit drained properly.

Inspected unit and found unit with an E 35 code. This code indicates the pressure sensor detected water overfill. Customer stated that the water did keep running and would not stop until unplugged. Ordering parts.; rqstng P&A on 1 809019910 (Main control board) and 1 134637810 (Water valve) and 1 134762010 (Pressure switch)

Replaced control and unit drained and ran but was leaking from the motor and sump area where it seals around that tub. Unit now needs new tub motor and sump.

Cleared drain pump and instructed customer on heat options. Checks ok

Reset control and turned heated dry option back on. Tested unit and its heating good.

Customer states that unit has water/ice under the deli drawer. The water is coming from the defrost drain. It is clogged and overflowing. Cleared defrost and verified its open. All ok.

Customer states that unit isnt filling. It goes right into the wash cycle. Control has an error code stored for lid left open. Ran diagnostics tests and all functions work as they should. Ran speed wash to test and aged as it should. Went over cycle selection and load size with customer. Unable to duplicate concern of no fill.

Customer states that unit is blowing the fuse again. Inspected unit and found the primary interlock switch shorted closed. This is a normally open switch. Customer has replaced the switch group themselves and has a warranty on the part still. Installed temporary switch and ran to test. Unit is heating as it should. Fuse is good. All ok.

Checked unit over found cracked cooktop. Needs new cooktop, no repair as of now

Adjusted drain loop and door latch checks ok.

Hooked up newfi and reset controls checks ok. Customer will let us know if it has more issues.

Inspected unit and found the fan in the freezer section not running. Removed the back evaporator cover and found ice on the fan and behind the auger motor. Found the fill tube overflowing and leaking. Used food grade sealant to seal around the fill tube and resecured guide. Unit is now cooling properly and the fan is functioning. Advised the customer to give it a day or two before turning the icemaker back on. All checks OK

"Customers original issue was the balance/friction ring was cracked and partially missing when the washer arrived and during the first few cycles the unit was loud and banging around consistently. Replaced the friction ring and the next cycle discovered the pressure sensor hose had come detached and was leaking on the floor. It started leaking roughly half way through the cycle. Readjusted and reattached the pressure sensor hose and ran an empty short cycle and found no other leaks. A few days later the customer ran a medium to heavy load and later during the cycle the customer returned to discover water on the floor. Upon returning to repair the unit we ran a test cycle simulating a weighted load. Found the basket tilting towards the front right of the unit and the water fill line splashing outside of the basket and onto the floor. The spring suspension needs replaced due to the original issue caused by the friction ring. Advised and demonstrated to the customer the issues with the suspension. Advised the suspension springs need replaced, and the possibility of future issues with the unit due to the damaged friction ring and the unit having been run with part of it damaged. Customer will contact us if they want to move forward with repairs."

Inspected the unit and found several error codes for oversudes and the unit had a faulty hub drive and would not agitate without moving the entire basket. Unit is in a commercial setting at a salon. Provided information and parts needed to Assurant and the repair was declined. Assurant to contact customer and advise.

Installed power cord and verified operation. All functions operate as they should. Unit heated to 350 in ten minutes. All ok.

Customer states that unit wont light up and now wont start. Voltage to the main control is correct. Voltage from the main to the user interface is correct. Reset control and user interface powered on. All buttons and functions work. Ran to test. Unit functions as it should. If problem reoccurs it will need the user interface. That part is no longer available through our sources.

Ran tests found water valve faulty water seeping by valve with unit off . Installed new inlet water valve ran fill tests checked good.

Ran tests found idler wheel bearing bad causing no run issue. Replaced idler tested good.; used 1 DE634A (Idler) from stock

Inspected unit and found a hose clamp loose and leaking underneath the unit. Tightened the clamp. Ran multiple test cycles and found no other leaks. All checks OK.

Inspected the unit and found the sanitize and rinse aid lights blinking. This is a miscommunication between the main control board and the display board. Attempted to reset the unit including powering the unit off for five minutes and attempting reset again. Good power to the unit and board. Unit not responding. Unit needs new module programmed board and program display board. Provided information and the customer and estimate and repairs were declined.

Defrost timer needs replaced, installed new part all checks good

Unit is non repairable refrigerant line freezing upin the back cabinet, called techline spoke to Allen and did video with him also- case #86162728 customer care #1-800-374-4432

Ran tests found washer top bent causing lid lock not to engage. Bent top back in to position ran drain and spin tested good.

Ran tests found bake control shorted out causing no function customer does not want to move forward with repair.

Ran tests found igniter weak causing baking issues and noises. Replaced igniter ran bake test checked good.; used 1 5303935066 (Igniter) from stock

Inspected the unit and found the broil element disengaged the wire. Secured wire. Ran a test cycle. All checks ok

Inspected the unit and found a failed communication between the drain pump and control board. Control board part # W10251745 is no longer being manufactured.

Inspected the unit and found it was failing to supply power to the units components. Customer declined repair at this time.

Inspected unit and found unit completely unresponsive. Pulled model and serial number up on the GE Smart HQ app. Found a service bulletin for this problem. Followed steps of the service bulletin and found I need to replace user interface and control. Gave customer quote. Customer declined repair.

Inspected unit and found the unit working properly. Customer had heavy wet blanket and stated the sound would happen with a load. Unit still would not make sound. Advised customer to use like normal and take a video if sound is heard again and to call back.

Inspected unit and found ice maker stuck in an out of home position. Attempted to cycle the ice maker and it would not cycle. Customer was also concerned with unit not switching between crushed and cubed ice. Replaced ice maker. Found ice behind flapper on ice bin causing the bin to jam when attempting to switch between crushed and cubed ice. Unclogged the bin. Tested ice maker and dispenser. All checks ok. ; used 1 DA97-07365G (ICE MAKER) from stock
