Insect the unit and found the customer having issues getting the water filter out. Removed the water filter and install the new water filter and air filter. Showed them how to reset the filter lights. All checks good.

Inspected the unit and found the unit not responding to any commands on the user interface. Removed the bottom cover and inspected the power coming into the unit and found a bad connection on one of the wires. Made adjustments and ran a test cycle. All checks good.

Inspected the unit and found the user interface and the control board having a miscommunication. Reset the unit and ran a calibration cycle. The unit started and completed the cycles. Advised the customer to use rinse aid to help dry the dishes. All checks good.

"Inspected the unit and found the unit not draining. Inspected the drain wires and found no voltage getting into the drain pump. Inspected the wiring harness and found a potential break in the wiring harness or the control board. Advised the customer of the repair and they did not want to proceed further. Unit is approximately 10 to 12 years old."

Inspected the unit and found the customer stating that the rinse aid was not dispensing. Ran a diagnostic cycle and found no issues. Cleaned out the rinse aid container and the dispenser hole. Refilled the dispenser and informed the customer that this will run 50 to 60 cycles before needing to fill it back up. All checks good.

"Inspected the unit, and found the door boot having debris along the inside and along the bottom of the door, which can cause a water leak. Removed the spring off the front of the door boot and made adjustments to the door boot. Tilted the unit back and inspected all the drain lines and the tub hoses. Found one drain line potentially leaking. Adjusted the drain lines and ran to test cycles and found no leaks. All checks good."

Inspected the unit and found the unit not producing 240V found that the outlet had shorted out and it shorted out the terminal block at the back of the oven. Fixed the wires and the terminal block at the back of the unit. Called and advised the price and advise them to get an electrician to take a look at the outlet. All checks good.

Ran a test cycle on the unit and found that the hot water valve was turned off and an error code for a long fill cycle. Customer stated she had a company come out to look at some drainage issues and they may have turned the hot water valve off. Ran a diagnostic cycle and found the unit operating correctly and passing all the checks.

Inspected the unit and found the unit full of water and no power at the unit. The outlet was producing 120 and the capacitor was sending 120 to the control board but the control board was not powering on. Advised customer they would need a control board and a door lock to resolve the issue. Advised him of the cost of the repair and they did not want to proceed further.

Inspected the unit and found the fan and the light not coming on. Inspected the wires at the top of the unit and found the power coming to the unit at the wire nuts had come loose. Inspected the unit and found that the left front burner was not controlling the temperature. Replaced the burner switch and ran a test cycle. All checks good.; used 1 316436000 (SWITCH) from stock

"Inspected unit and found that the lint trap in the condenser coil had lint buildup all throughout that area. When speaking with the customer she informed me that she was doing some of the maintenance that she could possibly do, but she was unsure of how to reach the back of the machine to get that excess lint buildup. I sent her a video that I had found on YouTube that describes step-by-step on how to properly maintain this unit and what GE recommendations and requirements are in maintaining this unit for optimal performance. The leaking was coming because the water had nowhere to go out of the lint trap and was making its way out the front of the unit customer that we do not clean these units and GE will not cover to clean these units under warranty because it is a consumer responsibility that is stated in their user manual. So I explained to a customer that once she cleans the unit and gets the proper tools to maintain it and get it clean to where we have good performance on it if she is still having problems with extended drying times to give us a call back and we can come back out and do a proper diagnostic on it once it is cleaned and maintained."
