Unit filled to the proper amount of water. Wash motor is not pumping any water. Nothing blocking the sump. The wash motor has voltage but barley pumps water. The unit needs the wash motor. The impeller has come loose from the motor. Due to age the customer is thinking on the repair.

"Unit is 13 years old in laundry closet. Customer states that on timed dry or auto the unit needs multiple cycles to dry. Voltage at the unit is correct. Heater, thermal, fuse, and high limit thermostat test good. Thermistor tests within range at room temperature. Ran to test and the cycling temperature gets further and further apart before it kicked the heater back on. The thermistor is shorting the hotter it gets. The unit needs thermistor and main pcb. ; ordrng 1 AGM30045804 (Thermistor) and 1 EBR62707609 (Main pcb)"

Customer states that unit is leaking water underneath and has damaged their floor. Found signs of leak from the water valve for the ice maker. No leaks at the supply line. Leak appears to be from the water valve where the ice maker line connects. Removed water line and found small pin hole. This would cause a small leak when the ice maker calls for water. Leak is small enough that it would build up in the frame rather than leak out. The cabinet is rusted but is structurally sound. Timed water line and reinstalled. Ran ice maker cycle to test for leak from valve. Ice maker wont eject frozen cubes. Ice maker heater is shorted open. Unable to verify leak is gone. Ice maker is an add on and only way to get it is as a kit. This kit includes a new water line and valve. Shut ice maker off so it would not call for water and cause leak. ; ordrng 1 IM116000 (Ice maker kit)

Belt switch, and door switch test good. The motor is shorted open. This is why it wont start. The unit wouldnt run on timed dry because the timer is shorted open. Unit had been leaking from the door due to excessive amount of water. Found the drain line did not have a loop built-in going to the garbage disposal and whenever the sink would run it would back up into the tub of the dishwasher. Installed loop and provide information to the customer, all checks OK."

"Customers concern was that the start button periodically does not work or the unit will not start up a cycle. Inspected the unit and ran a few test cycles and the unit filled with water, activated the wash motor, and ran a drain cycle. The door is closing properly with no blockage, and found no issues with the sprayarms. Tested the display board and all the buttons functioned properly. Tested the start button several times along with the door switch and found no issues. Possible for the unit to have intermittent issues, but at the time of inspection the tech could find no defects. Contacted Assurant techline (John)and advised of the issues the customer is experiencing. Techline documented the issues and advised there would need to be a notable non repairable defect documented before a replacement of the unit would be considered. They advised for the customer to video/photo record any intermittent issues so techline can review for future repairs."

Customer states that unit is leaking under the deli drawers again. Inspected unit and found the defrost drain frozen again. Leak kit has been installed. Thawed defrost drain and verified it is open with trombone cleaner. Able to get cleaner all the way through the tube. If line freezes up again the unit most likely has moisture in the insulation that is freezing up. This will collapse the drain tube preventing it from draining. If this is the case the unit is not repairable. Drain is currently clear.

Inspected the unit could hear a squealing noise coming from the rear of the unit sounded like something was in the blower housing wall assembly. Removed the back panel and cleared out lent. Reassembled unit advised customer they may just have something in the vent line thats causing the sound and it will eventually clear itself out. Ran another test cycle and found no abnormal sounds.
