Customer states that unit is freezing items in the deli drawer. GE has been out and replaced both fresh food temperature sensor. Customer is still having the issue. No error codes for deli drawer thermistor error. The unit does have a thermistor error for the freezer ice maker. The unit does not and never had a freezer ice maker. Control shows sensor reading at 300 degrees for the freezer ice maker and 127 degrees for the deli drawer. The wiring diagram shows a deli thermistor but the unit does not have one at the board. Fresh food thermistors test within spec. Need to speak with GE techline. Possibility that the board has the wrong software. No update shown but board has several part numbers that sub to the one we installed in January. ; saved tckt

"Customer states that unit isnt spinning out the clothes. Checked control for error codes F7E1 basket speed fault, and F7E7 motor unable to reach rpm codes present. Both will keep the unit from spinning out properly. Ran the tachometer test and the unit isnt sensing its speed. Also when spinning the tub by hand the gearcase is very loud. The unit isnt detecting the speed due to a dirty optic sensor. The sensor is covered in rusty water stains. Cleared optics and ran tachometer test again. The unit now senses the speed but is extremely noisy in spin. The bearings in the gearcase are rusted from a leak. This is causing the noise and error codes. The unit needs the gearcase assembly. Due to the age of the unit and cost the customer does not wish to repair."

Customer states that unit is showing a blocked vent error. This is why its not heating. The unit is shortening the cycle. Ran to test. Unit is heating but not circulating the heat well. I removed front panel to inspect and found the heater box had fallen out of the heater duct. Reinstalled heater and secured. Ran to test. Unit is heating as it should and no longer displays the error. All ok.

"Unit is 11 years old in the laundry room. Customer states that unit is leaking from underneath. They ran the unit and when they came back they found the room flooded. Inspected unit and found the cold water valve leaking. Ran speed wash to test for other leaks. No other leaks present. Hot water valve is in good shape, door boot has no holes/tears, drain pump and hose are good. Unit needs cold water valve. Installed new valve and ran to test. No more leaks. Removed the front panel and also found a large amount of socks and clothes underneath the unit. The gear case was leaking what appeared to be a whitish brown slime coming from the gear case.
