"Inspected the unit and in the spin cycle you hear a loud grinding noise coming from the gear case. Removed the washplate and I could not get the inner basket off the gear case. Inspected the underside and found grease on the stator and cam kit. Unit needs a tub job. Customer stated they have had issues with the sound board on the unit. Entered diagnostics and found an error code F6E3 for miscommunication between the board and console. Unit needs console and board. Found F3E2 inlet thermistor error, and F2E1 stuck button error. Ran diagnostics cycle and forced hot and cold valves on. Both operate as they should. Resistance of sensor at the control is infinite. Inspected at sensor and it is corroded. This is why it wont fill with hot water. Unit defaults to cold. "Inspected the unit and while running it on a test load I could hear a grinding noise coming from the gear case. Remove the back panel and found a small amount of grease leaking in the road or not sitting on the state or correctly. During the high spin speed cycle the tub was shaking and vibrated more than normal. Entered diagnostics to manually test the gear case and found several error codes, could not clear the error codes. Ran a diagnostic cycle and once it entered stage 4 the unit would just shutdown and not finish the cycle. Unit needs a tub job repair and the main boards replaced. Repair would require a second tech and additional labor.
