Customer states that unit still leaks from the ice maker. Plumber agreed that pressure was high and installed an in-line valve to help reduce pressure to refrigerator. With lower pressure to the unit it still leaks out of the ice maker. Checked for shorted ice maker over cycling. Ice maker is good. No voltage to valve when off. Water valves are weak and allowing water past. Unit needs both valves. Installed new valves and verified it no longer leaks. Ice maker cycles and shuts off water supply. Inspected unit and found an error code for oversuds and off-balance load. Pulled unit forward and inspected the underside of the unit and found one of the suspension rods misaligned off the basket. Made adjustments to suspension rod and rotor/stater. Recalibrated unit and ran multiple test cycles and found no other issues. The black flakes the customer is seeing in the cycle is coming from the residual detergent left over inside the unit. Advised the customer to use clean tablets more often and that as the unit gets older this will continue to build up.

Inspected the unit and found the timer not functioning properly and the door switch not aligning correctly. Provide estimate for repairing the customer approved. Made adjustments to the timer so I would line up and function properly and also made adjustments to the door switch so I would actually recognize the doors closed. Ran a test cycle and found the cold water valve having poor water flow running good on warm or hot cycle. Advise the customer to run the unit on warm as the cold water line has got a poor water flow through it.
