"Checked out the unit and found that the icemaker was not cycling. I found that there was a large amount of water in the bottom of the freezer and had frozen all the ice packs inside the freezer section. Removed all of the ice and when removing the icemaker found ice lodged in the waterline. The top mount refrigerator is sitting in the garage and was not dispensing water into the icemaker and leaking down the back of the wall of the refrigerator. Recalibrated the icemaker, and the unit was cycling. Advised customer to get a heater to help melt the ice build up in the back of the waterlines. Checks OK"

All mechanical components are functioning properly. Provided information to the customer regarding possible causes with the cavity liner or metal guard over the magnetron warping and making a popping sound as unit starts to get used to the warmer temperatures. Both of the sounds are normal for unit under a year year-old. Advised to customer continue to use the unit and monitor for issues and if they return recommended, they contact the LG factory service team as they may have more information on this specific customer concern."

Checked underneath the unit and found that the motor had come apart and cracked the bottom side of the tub. Check unit over found that the refrigerator with spike as high as 55? in the freezer was getting up anywhere from 8 to 10? regularly. I found both sections including the crisper drawer were not down to temperature fluctuating approximately 5 to 7? warmer than what they should be. Refrigerator evaporator only had 3/4 frost pattern. Freezer frost pattern seem to be pretty good. We believe this unit has a partial sealed system leak along with an issue with the freezer evaporator and control unit would need a new compressor along with control board and freezer evaporator assembly. due to previous work on units our recommendation is to replace this unit and not to move further along with these repairs.
