Also found water at dispenser not coming out but unit making ice. When dispenser is pressed I could not hear solenoid opening to allow water through. Gave customer quote for all repairs. Checked the control for error codes and found freezer defrost and freezer evaporator fan errors. The unit didnt defrost properly causing frost buildup around the evaporator fan. Forced fans on in test mode and all are operating correctly. Forced defrost heater on and watched for temperature rise. Defrost heater is operating correctly. "Inspected the unit and found failed thermal fuse and a faulty element. Replaced parts and ran a test cycle. The unit ran for about 30 to 40 seconds and was heating fine without any issues and could then smell something shorting out and burning and the two fuses and heating element went out. Found no external damage to the wiring harness or the rest of the unit. Something is causing the unit to short out and take out the heating element and fuses. Called AHS and advised of the issues. Unit is 12 plus years old. AHS to submit the unit to replacement options. Auth#269CARA; used 1 3392519 (FUSE), and 1 3387747 (ELEMENT) from stock"
