Customer states that the ice maker stopped making ice and the craft ice maker is extremely noisy when it is harvesting. In door ice maker has ice in it but didnt harvest. Ice maker was turned off at the control. Turned ice maker on and it harvested on its own with no issues. Forced it to harvest again in test mode. It harvest and filled with no issues. Forced craft ice maker to harvest and when it is harvesting the ice maker motor is slipping causing a loud noise. There is a service bulletin for an updated craft ice maker and software update. Bulletin advises that if any problem occurs with the craft ice maker to replace it and update the software. "Customer states that the microwave tripped the breaker. Reset the breaker and it tripped right away again. Tried one more time to reset it and it came on and stayed on. When they were running the unit, it started to spark, and then the main panel in the garage started to spark as well. Inspected microwave and found no signs of shorts or sparking. No shorts to ground no broken wires and no damage visible. Outlet the microwave is plugged into is dead and has no voltage to it. Ran extension cord and ran microwave on another outlet to test. Unit is drawing 14, well within spec. Ran several times and I was unable to duplicate concern of tripping breaker or sparking. Advised them the issue is in there electric."

Unit got to 350 in under 15 minutes. Relays shut down and did not overheat. All ok."

Inspected the unit and found the main control board not responding to information on the display board. The unit would not activate the fan at a lower temperature and would not close the dampener door to the fresh food section when temperatures were adjusted. Advised the customer they are having an issue with the main control board and the first step would be to reprogram the board and completely defrost the unit for 24 hours after reprogramming. Provided an estimate. Approved. Reset and reprogrammed control board. I advised the customer after the defrosting for 24 hours it can take anywhere from 5 to 12 hours to return to normal temperatures.

"Inspected the unit and found the microwave liner chipping revealing the metal liner. Unit would not respond and I noticed a burning smell from inside the unit , an indicator of the transformer magnetron and failed and shorted out the thermal fuse. Remove the trim cover and found damage to the wire harness running to the microwave. Photos attached. Main wiring harness is showing is no longer available for manufactured. Provided this information the customer advised that it was not possible to complete a repair due to this part no longer being available."
