Unit is 14 years old. Customer states that the control will intermittently not power on. The drum light is on when this happens. Customer has to unplug the unit and allow it to sit for 5 minutes and then it will power on. Voltage is correct at 121 VAC. Voltage is present at the noise filter and at the main board. Voltage is present at the user interface currently. No loose or damaged connections at the main board or the user interface. Ran rinse/spin cycle to test. Unit operated as it should. With the way the user interface is powered up by dc voltage from the main control and the door light is still on it is likely the user interface is failing. The user interface is no longer available.

Unit is 16 years old in the kitchen. Customer states that the freezer section isnt cooling well. Fresh food seems okay. New items are not freezing and ice cream is soft. Compressor is running no freezer evaporator fan is running. No excessive frost build up on the cover. Inspected compressor; found it running hot and amp draw at 1.5. Condenser coils are very dirty. Unit cannot exchange the heat efficiently because of a dirty condenser. Cleaned coils and compressor area. Checked amp draw again and it is around 1 amp now. Closer to spec. If problem persists the compressor is running inefficiently and would need replaced. Advised customer to monitor temps.

Found that the gearcase leaked oil all over the motor and lower half. Could not separate inner and outer basket from Gearcase. Unit needs complete tub assembly along with coupling plate and balance ring.
