They can force it to drain to clear the standing water. No voltage to the water valves when the unit is off. Water valve is stuck open. Unit needs water valve to stop water leak. "Inspected the unit and found damage to the gearcase and while running it through the spin cycle you could hear a loud grinding noise coming from the gearcase. Inspected the underside of the unit and found grease on the rotor and stater. While in diagnostics the control board would just shut off while running a manual test cycle on the spin (selection 12). Attempted to remove the washplate and I could not get the bolts off the gearcase. Unit is eight years old located in the laundry room. The unit would need a new tub and gearcase along with a new control board. Customer states that unit stopped cooling in the fresh food section and has weak cooling in the upper portion of the freezer section. Compressor and condenser fan are running. Found freezer evaporator fan not running and interior light staying on. Fan wont run if unit senses the door open. Removed freezer door switch to inspect. Switch was recently replaced and tests good. Checked continuity of door switch harness and found no continuity in the light blue wire from the door switch. This is the 120 volt input of the door switch. The harness has an open/short. Cannot access harness to repair because it is between the liner and case. Calling Assurant to give non repairable diagnosis. Assurant will reach out to the customer in 3-5 business days with resolution. Claim number 566506DF

Customer states that the unit is shaking severely in spin regardless of load type/size. Unit is sitting level. Control has error codes for out of balance. Upon visual inspection I found the inner basket is loose from the drive shaft. Removed agitator and found tub nut cracked and loose. Nut was replaced when the transmission was replaced. No signs of misuse/abuse to cause this issue. Replaced hub nut and ran spin test. Unit is spinning to full speed and is smooth. No more out of balance issues. Ran unit to test and it is very slow to fill on cold. Voltage to the valve is correct. Ran normal eco cycle to test. Unit filled to small load level in normal time. Inspected supply valve filter screens and they are clear of debris. When unit got to the rinse cycle the control shut down. Unplugged unit and restarted cycle with same result. No signs of loose or damaged wires. Voltage is correct at the outlet and properly grounded. Replaced drive control and ran to test. Unit is functioning as it should. Customer states that unit isnt draining. Inspected unit and found sump full of water. Forced unit to drain but it would not empty. Pump is getting voltage but wont move the water. Replaced drain pump and ran to test. Unit is operating as it should. All OK.

"Inspected the unit and found the motor not running when starting up the cycle. Found a heating element would not shut off after opening the door and found a light flickering on and off. Set the unit to air dry and the heat on it still turned on. Inspected the heating element and is not damaged. No noticeable damage to the timer or cycle selection. Found the high limit fuse not shutting down the unit. Attempted to trace voltage, but couldnt determine what was causing the element to activate. The unit would need a new motor, timer, element, high limit fuse, and possibly a new drum due to warping. Called HBW and advised of the issues, HBW to put the unit into replacement options and contact the customer."
