Inspected the unit and found the average temperature in the fresh food section at 34? and our temperature in the freezer section at 7?. No error codes displayed. Fans running in the fresh food and freezer section sound normal. Customer described the the fan cycling up and running faster and louder for a short periods of time and he hears a couple times a week. This is the boost cycle on the fan and typically kicks in shortly after a defrost cycle. Per techline this is normal for these types of fans. All checks OK. Advised the customer if they have concerns in the future to video record the sound and send it to GE.

Customer complaint that units making different weird noises one of which sounded like water running. Inspected the unit and found good temperatures in the freezer and refrigerator section. Found the fan in the freezer section running without any issues or abnormal sounds. Found the compressor running and compressor fan running without any issues or abnormal sounds. Found gapping between the inner and outer liner in the freezer section. Use food grade sealant to seal up the gapping. Customer also complained of frosting in the freezer section and the only frost we could find was inside containers that were not properly sealed. I advised the customer that this is freezer burn from the package is not being sealed properly. I also advise the customer and the sounds are more likely coming from the compressor and that we could not find any issues with unit at this time and that the water dripping sound is from the defrost cycle and is normal. ; ordrng 1 11111 (Sealant for TS)

"Inspected unit and found excessive amount of dirt, hair, and soap residue all throughout the lower half of the basket. This amount of gunk and residue can cause the unit to activate a flood safety cycle which will lock the lid and run the drain pump until it senses the suds and gunk has cleared out. This would have prevented the door from being opened unless forced open. Found a part of the lid lock assembly broken and laying inside the basket. Damage to the lid lock assembly and lack of maintenance on the unit not covered under warranty as stated by GE. Spoke with GE about ordering parts and warranty and they confirmed the repair would not be covered under the warranty. Notified customer via text of the decline in coverage and recommended they contact GE."

Inspected unit and found Icemaker not cycling. Tried to jump icemaker as well as water valve and it was not working. Tested voltage incoming to the icemaker and found none. Checked to see if voltage was coming into the icemaker control board and it was not. Customer it was likely a main control board issue but this control board was no longer available due to the age of the unit.

Inspected unit and found icemaker cycling properly. Found incoming water to icemaker not enough. Checked water valves and found the icemaker solenoid reading very low ohms. Replaced water valve. Made sure water was incoming to icemaker. Informed customer if this does not fix the issue that he would need to check the water pressure coming from the house. Inspected unit and found it unplugged. When plugged back in I heard the condenser fan kick on as well as the compressor. I also heard the evaporator fan in the freezer come on. I manually cycled the icemaker and made sure it was running and filling with water. Did so properly without excessive noise. Also made sure water valve was opening and shutting properly. Talked with customer and explained that the refrigerator was running properly and I did not hear any excessive noise. Explained the next steps were to be to keep it running and if the noise comes up again take a video as well as leaving it plugged in until I can come out diagnose it. All checks ok.

Inspected unit and found it was not draining properly. Rinse and spin were blinking two times indicating a lid lock issue. Took front panel off of the washer. Found lid lock harness had become unattached from the lid lock mechanism. Plugged harness back in. Put unit into a spin cycle to drain the water out. Washer locked properly drained and spun. Unclip the top clip holding the wire harness to allow the wires to have more movement. All checks OK.

Inspected unit and found everything working properly. Customer had stated that she had some produce that had gone bad and thought it froze. She had a thermometer in her deli drawer. She stated the thermometer was bad and not reading correctly. I checked the temperatures with my temp gun as well as checked the temperatures reading from the display on the fridge. All checks OK.

"Customer states that unit wont agitate at times, wont spin, and drains out on its own. Checked unit for error codes. F0E3 overload error, F8E3 overflow error codes present. Ran diagnostics to test. Unit fills fine and to proper level in test. Water valves are not sticking open. Pressure hose is connected, no blockage or holes. Control isnt sensing water level properly. This is why its pumping out water. Unit spins and agitates fine in test. Overload can cause issues in spin/agitate. Advised customer on load size and cycle selections. Unit needs main control. Main control is on factory back order. No source with no ETA. Calling big Sandys to inform. ; ordrng 1 W11419171 (Control)"
