Unit now turns on but all of the burner switches smoke and give a horrible burning smell and two of the burners do not even heat up. Part of the wiring harness feeding the burner switches has melted. Spoke with American home shield, and due to this unit be in 15 to 20 years old they do not want to put an extensive amount of money into it."

After speaking with customer I determined the issue is due to improper cycle selection for load. Advised customer on cycle usage for proper load. Customer was not provided an owners manual or a quick reference manual. Advised customer on where to get a manual. Unit is functioning as it should. All ok.

Customer states that unit is slow to make ice. Takes longer than 48 hours to fill the bucket. Temperatures in the unit are correct. Icemaker is filling with a small amount of water. Small amount of water can slow ice production. Adjusted water level and cycled to test. Icemaker is functioning as it should. All temperature sensors test good. Advised customer that this unit will take up to 48 hours to completely fill the bucket. 3 to 4 ice trays in 24 hours is normal production. All ok. If problem reoccurs it would be best to replace the icemaker.
