Checked unit over and found that the unit was not draining the water out of the dishwasher. The drain pump was running but could barely move any water through the drain hose. Attempted to suck water out through drain hose and could not get any water out of the drain hose. Instructed customer that they needed to have the drain hose replaced or cleaned out and that it would not be covered under warranty because it is not a normal wear and tear. Once she gets the drain hose cleared out if she continues to have issues I told her we would come back out.

Found hot supply line loose at valve. Valve is right above the tub. Cold isnt filling because it was turned off. Turned cold valve on and tightened hot supply. Ran to test. All ok. Unit was purchased in February but just installed. All other functions work as they should. All ok.

Upon arrival customer stated that unit runs loud at times and freezes items in lower drawer of fresh food section. Unit was plugged in but not running. Control set to 1. Forced unit to run. All fans and compressor are running. No abnormal noises at this time. Amp draw of compressor is is 1.2 amps. Cannot duplicate concern of noise. Inspected meat drawer items and none are frozen at this time. Inspected air damper and it is operating as it should. Damper for drawer is opening and closing. It was set to 3/4 open. No ice build up or frost in freezer. Nothing blocking air return. Unable to duplicate concern of items freezing.

"Upon arrival customer stated that unit wont spin and is making a rubbing noise when it does. Ran diagnostics to check for errors. F7E1 basket speed fault, F0E5 off balance errors present. Ran spin test. Basket isnt engaging in spin. Removed wash plate and found drive hub stripped out and drive shaft rusted/worn. This is why unit wont spin and shows speed fault error. Unit needs transmission and drive hub. Due to cost and age of unit customer does not wish to proceed."

Inspected unit and found the outer glass on the door had shattered. The customer showed me pictures of when it shattered. The customer said they had been baking something in the oven for about 30 or 40 minutes when they heard it break. Contacted Lowes extended warranty about coverage and spoke with Kent. Advised him of the issues and he advised it would not be covered under warranty from them but there may be an exception if the customer deals directly with the manufacturer. Recommended the customer contact the manufacturer.

"Upon arrival unit when open was reading -4F and 36F from infrared gun. They have temperature sensors in unit and reading to outside, they were a little off compared to spot check that was done. Unit fan was not running, suspect unit is in defrost mode. Talked to staff for 10 mins came back unit was getting warmer, still in defrost. Then unit switched back over to unit running and waited to let unit run and cool. Unit temps are dropping, ok. Suggested putting thermometer in cup of water to check. Unit checks ok."
