Unit is 7 years old in laundry room. Customer states that unit wont drain and lid wont unlock. They have unplugged the unit to reset but this did not help. Forced unit into test mode. Lid unlocked. No error codes stored. Forced all loads on in test mode and they all operated as they should. Both water valves opened but very slow to flow. Opened shut off valves and flow has greatly improved. Ran rinse/spin with load to test. Unit operated as it should. Suspect that with the closed water supply the unit stopped running. It sensed that the unit was taking longer than expected to fill and stopped the cycle. It wont drain or advance if this occurs. Code was cleared when the customer had reset the breaker. If problem reoccurs the unit would need a main control and drive control.

Found the blower housing thermal fuse shorted open, the heater housing thermal fuse shorted open and the heater shorted to ground. The heater shorted to ground and caused the other fuses to fail. Advise customer to make sure they are using the fabric softener selection. If fabric softener is not selected, it will not dispense. Suspect that the unit not being level is what was causing the fabric softener not to dispense. If problem persists after leveling unit and advising customer, the unit will need the main control and the water valve."

Ran quick test cycle and the unit filled with water, activated the wash motor and the lower and upper spray-arms, ran a drain cycle and the unit drained the water into the garbage disposal. While in diagnostic I tested the detergent/rinse aid dispenser and heating element and they all passed. Rinse aid dispenser reservoir empty. Made adjustments to the door gasket and latch to confirm proper closure. Customers concerned of the dishes not drying and sitting water in the filter area. Advised the customer to use rinse aid on a regular basis and that this unit is a sump drain system and there will always be sitting water in the filter area. All checks ok."

Customer states that since they changed the water filter the water is slow to dispense. They are using a Whirlpool filter and have purged it many times but it is still slow. No issues with ice production. Voltage at the water valve is correct. Filter is not frozen. Found reservoir partially frozen and restricting the water flow. The unit needs the water reservoir. ; ordrng 1 W10366790 (Reservoir)

Customer states that unit is leaking water underneath and has damaged their floor. Found signs of leak from the water valve for the ice maker. No leaks at the supply line. Leak appears to be from the water valve where the ice maker line connects. Removed water line and found small pin hole. This would cause a small leak when the ice maker calls for water. Leak is small enough that it would build up in the frame rather than leak out. The cabinet is rusted but is structurally sound. Timed water line and reinstalled. Ran ice maker cycle to test for leak from valve. Ice maker wont eject frozen cubes. Ice maker heater is shorted open. Unable to verify leak is gone. Ice maker is an add on and only way to get it is as a kit. This kit includes a new water line and valve. Shut ice maker off so it would not call for water and cause leak. ; ordrng 1 IM116000 (Ice maker kit)

"Unit is 13 years old in laundry closet. Customer states that on timed dry or auto the unit needs multiple cycles to dry. Voltage at the unit is correct. Heater, thermal, fuse, and high limit thermostat test good. Thermistor tests within range at room temperature. Ran to test and the cycling temperature gets further and further apart before it kicked the heater back on. The thermistor is shorting the hotter it gets. The unit needs thermistor and main pcb. ; ordrng 1 AGM30045804 (Thermistor) and 1 EBR62707609 (Main pcb)"

Customer states that unit wont fill and wash motor is loud. Inspected under sink and found water shut off not fully open. Opened fully and ran diagnostics cycle to test. Unit filled to the proper amount of water. Wash motor is not pumping any water. Nothing blocking the sump. The wash motor has voltage but barley pumps water. The unit needs the wash motor. The impeller has come loose from the motor. Due to age the customer is thinking on the repair.

"Inspected the unit and found the freezer with frost buildup in the upper portion of the evap and nothing lower on the evap. Ice ball forming on the evaporator. Found temp in the freshfood section lower than normal and the fan running consistently. Compressor very hot to the touch. The unit is 2 years old and has already had multiple services. Unit needs freezer door, evap and compressor.
