Inspected the unit and found the evaporator in the freezer section with a partial frost pattern. Compressor activating and pulling good amps. In order to find the leak we found have to recharge the unit and install a dye filter. We would come back a few days later to checks for leaks from the dye. If the leak is from the compressor or evaporator the part will need to be ordered and we would return to install the part. There is a possibility that the leak can be inside the linear which is not repairable. Provided info to the customer on a sealed system repair.

"Inspected the unit and filled it with water and ran the drain pump. The pump activated and drained the unit completely in under 1 min, found the drain line did not have a loop properly placed on the line which would cause issues draining. Made adjustments to the drain line. Ran a auto cycle and the unit filled with water, washed, and drained without any error codes or issues. Ran a normal wash for 25 minutes with no issues. There is a bad smell coming from the dishwasher and drain area. Recommend the customer use cleaning tablets on a regular basis. All checks ok."

Inspected unit and found the icemaker cycling properly. Found no water or ice in icemaker molds. I asked customer if they had recently changed their water filter. They had stated no that they were going to but have not yet and had a new one to put in. Put new water filter in and felt water immediately start to rush in. When running water through filter found lots of rust colored sediment. Ran until water was clear. Told customer due to the fact that they have well water their filter was probably clogged with sediment not allowing water to get to the icemaker. Advise them if they were still having issues to call and get rescheduled.

Inspected the unit and found damage to both the freezer and refrigerator door gaskets. Found the compressor running for about eight minutes and then shutting off and then kicking back on shortly after. The temps in the fresh food section were an average of 47? and an average of 15? in the freezer section both sections are slightly warmer than they should be. Found large gap in between the inner and outer liner. I advised the customer due to the condition of the unit and the compressor eventually failing and I did not recommend them replacing the door gaskets due to the high cost and recommended just sealing up the liner and see if that improves cooling. The unit is 14 years old. Customer approved of the sealant kit repair. Customer said they would monitor the temperatures of the next couple days. Applied sealant and sealed gapping in the refrigerator and freezer section.

Inspected the unit and found it not entering diagnostic and not unlocking the door after it completes a cycle. Ran a manual test cycle and could hear grinding coming from the gearcase. The unit is in rough shape and the cost of repair for the control board and gearcase along with labor would be substantially more than replacing the unit.

"Inspected the unit and found the fan not running, upon activating a bake/broil cycle the unit would shut off within 20 seconds. Pulled the unit and inspected the fan, found it receiving voltage but not activating. Rotated the fan blades and motor and disconnected the motor. Reconnected the motor and ran a test cycle. Ran a bake 350 cycle and the unit heated without any issues."
