"Inspected the dryer and found the lower screw on the vent filter assembly not aligned properly and a small piece of metal sticking out past the plastic filter. Remove the filter assembly and made adjustments to screw and metal casing around it. Find a large amount of lint getting caught by that small piece of metal under the filter. Reinstalled vent filter assembly properly and ran my hand and finger along the plastic and nothing was catching on the metal. Provided information to the customer and advised this is most likely what was causing their issue. Advised them to continue to monitor the washer and dryer as they use the unit and to take photos and videos of any issues they find. All other components on the dryer, including the drum rear and front bulkhead are functioning properly and found no damage scratches, rust, or sharp ends that could damage the clothing."
