Inspected unit and found unit giving F8E4 error code. Unit was also turning on drain pump and attempting to drain. This is usually caused by the float switch getting water underneath it. Removed kickplate and saw drip pan had water in it. Customer had stated a few days ago they had opened the unit in the middle of a cycle which may have caused some water to drip into the drip pan. Cleaned up water from drip pan. Started cycle to check for leaks. Found none. All checks OK.

"Inspected the unit and found the freezer section at 20 degrees and the freshfood section at 40 degrees. Ice buildup along the back freezer wall and evaporator blocking the fan and airflow. The freezer section has to be below 10 degrees for 8 hours before the icemaker will function. Entered diagnostics and found the smart defrost cycle still activated, this is causing the unit to not run a defrost cycle and buildup excessive ice blocking the fan. Changed the setting to basic 8 hour cycle and advised the customer to run the unit through a 48 hour defrost cycle by unplugging the unit or powering it down and leaving the doors open. After the 48 hours the customer can power the unit back up and it should take 24 hours to return to normal temps."
