Cycled unit and did notice that the water filter housing was leaking. Customer stated several times that she has heard water dripping but was not able to locate it. When customer did the test and tech noticed that the filter house in was leaking but was not able to shut off water. Only place that we could find was at the main water. Tech did install new filter housing and customer did get several cups of water out and did not see any leaking.Cycled unit test ok.

WASHER KENMORE 110.238221 Unit is 17 years old. Upon arrival customer stated that unit doesn’t always advance on its own and it takes several spin cycles to get clothes spun out. Ran unit in spin to test clutch. Clutch is slipping causing weak spin. Ran unit in wash cycle to test timer. Timer stalls out and won’t advance intermittently. WASHER MAYTAG MVWB835DW0 "Upon arrival found unit flashing F5 then powering off. Then back on and lid lock is cycling during this as well. After a few minutes unit stopped cycling lid lock and powering on and off. Unit will not go into diagnostics mode. Tried several times. Put unit I rinse and spin to test. Unit started cycle with no issue. Lid locked, unit filled, and unit agitated. When unit finished cycle and unlocked lid the control started flashing F5 and powering down, power up flash then power down. Lid did lock and unlock as it should. Main control is shorting out when unit unlocks. Unit needs main control and would like lid lock on hand. Could not test function of sensor because unit would not go into diagnostics. ; rqstng P&A on 1 W10810403 (lid lock assy) and 1 W11100602 (cntrl-elec)"
