The tech removed the evaporator cover and found a loose wire to the temperature timer. Made adjustments. Found the evaporator with a for frost pattern. Turn the timer off and set it for defrost. The heating element kicked on and started to defrost the evaporator coil’s. Reset the temperature to six and advise the customer to leave the temperature setting between five and seven. All checks OK

Advise customer I would contact warranty company and provide them with the information but may get rejected due to pre-existing conditions. Called AHS and they advise they would reach out to the customer and speak with him.

REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRS325SDAT04 Inspected unit and found both the refrigerator and freezer section Between 40 and 60°. Cleared food out of the freezer section and removed the evaporator cover. Down the evaporator had no frost pattern and the evaporator section was 60° temperature. Pulled unit forward and inspected the compressor. Found the compressor cold and not running. Removed the start device and found not making a good connection with the compressor. Took the start device apart and made adjustments to it. Reattached the start device and powered the unit up. The compressor immediately kicked on along with the compressor fan. I advise the customer to give it about 24 hours before they would see the unit returning to normal temperatures. All checks OK.

Set freezer temp to -8 to see if compressor and fans would run. Compressor and fans are running. Removed evaporator cover to check frost pattern. Unit has a poor frost pattern on the freezer evaporator. Unit has a leak. Has enough freon to keep fresh food section at temp but not freezer. Unit needs dye filter installed and leak checked. Quoted 350 plus 40 for dye filter. Due to cost of repair and age of unit customer does not wish to repair."

Tested the unit and the control board is getting the correct voltage But arcing at the control board and causing the control board to go blank. Provided quote for wiring harness and control board to Marshall from Aarons store. They declined the repair.
