"Customer states that the unit will not dispense ice. The previous service company had replaced the ice bucket, but this did not change anything. Ran a test and found the yoke of the auger motor stripped. When the motor calls to turn motor turns but the yoke will not. Customer is also having difficulty resetting the water filter light. When pressing and holding the button for three seconds, like it requires, it will not reset. This is a software issue inside the user interface. This has damaged the mullion as well. The left side door hinges are ok. Gasket is torn from mullion catching. Excessive build up of frost around the damper has damaged it. Harness from the inverter to the compressor is good. Compressor is testing within spec. Reached out to Samsung techline and per tech the compressor is bad or it is a bad board. Inspected unit and ran a diagnostics test cycle and it ran without any issues. Checked board for any loose connections and at the drain pump. No issues found. Ran an individual test cycle and once the unit gets to the drain cycle it shuts down as its shorting out somewhere and comes up with a power failure error code. Traced wire harness and cannot find any issues or defects with the control board. Called AHS and advised of the short and that we are unable to locate the fault. Customer states that the unit had all lights on the display and would not clear. After they reset the breaker and let it sit for 30 minutes it has since operated correctly. No error codes stored in the system. Unit ran through diagnostics cycle with no issues. The unit had a slight forward tilt. Adjusted level of unit. The unit is functioning as it should. Currently unable to duplicate the concern of no operations. If the problem reoccurs advised customer not to reset the breaker in an effort to save errors. Also would need to have control on hand.

Found the unit in smart defrost cycle and keeping the defrost heater on longer than normal. Reset the unit to a basic eight hour defrost cycle advised customer to give it several days and the ice production to return.
