WASHER AMANA NTW4750BQ0 "Unit is 7 years old in laundry room. Upon arrival tenant stated that unit won’t complete the cycle and is very noisy. Put unit into diagnostics to check for errors. F2E3 mismatch of control, F7E6 motor fault, F7E5 shifter fault does present. Unit would not spin or agitate during test. Inspected shifter and found motor shorted open and not shifting. Clutch is good. Motor won’t agitate ccw because the winding is shorted open. The noise is from bearings in the gearcase. The unit has a small leak from the seal and water got into the bearings and rusted them out. Checked over control for loose connections. None found. Ran UI test mode and status lights just flash. No loose connections and harness is good. Unit needs gearcase, shifter, motor, and control. Not a good repair due to cost and age. Damper is trying to open but isn’t. Inspected damper and found ice build up blocking it. Thawed ice and cycled to test. Damper operates as it should and unit has cold air flow to the fresh food side. Unit went out of balance because spin basket is loose and wobbles. The drive hub is worn allowing spin basket to wobble in spin. This wobble is what broke the suspension mount. COOKTOP KENMORE 790.7442381 Pulled unit and inspected connections. No leaks from connections. Ran unit in bake to test. Flame isn’t burning correctly. Flame has an orange tip. Unit isn’t fully igniting the gas causing odor. Adjusted air shutter on burner to decrease air. Ran unit again. Flame is blue all the way through and readings are within normal. Customer does not smell gas. Ran burners to check and all are burning correctly. All ok.
