This is a common problem and has a service bulletin with an update. The auger motor is not operating correctly. It isnt moving. Just hums. Water leakage has froze the auger motor and ice bucket. The unit needs the ice maker fill jacket, ice maker, ice bucket, and auger motor. "Customer states that unit wasnt cooling and flashing a high temp alarm. They unplugged to reset the unit. It is now cooling but wont shut off. It also has a strong odor on the outside. Odor is from items melting and dripping into the condensate pan underneath. Cleared condensate water and smell is gone. Unit is at zero degrees but it has a very weak frost pattern. It is only reaching zero because it will not shut down. The potentiometer is shorted. Temp sensors re good. The potentiometer shorted from moisture when unit stopped cooling. It stopped cooling well due to a refrigerant leak. The unit needs leak checked, potentiometer, and pcb.
