Unit is making a loud vibration/shake in spin. Not every load. Staff had same complaint last visit but I was unable to duplicate it. Unit was running a load when I arrived. When it got into spin the noise began from the back of the unit. Found the counter weight loose. I did not get one of the 4 bolts tight when I was replacing the outer tub. Secured counter weight and ran spin to test. Noise is gone. When unit was draining the pump is intermittently stalling out. It is not draining as fast as it should. Unit needs drain pump replaced. "Customer states they are getting a gas odor from the vent on the outside of the house. They are not smelling any gas inside the house and it is not setting off any carbon monoxide detectors. Check control for error code. None were found. Removed front panel and found lint buildup in the machine and the blower housing. Cleared lint to make sure it was not getting hot. Customers vent is almost collapsed behind it and has lots of kinks. Customer also stated that where it goes into the basement it has lots of 90? bends. Advised customer to have the vents cleaned and possibly modified to prevent so many 90s. The odor is the buildup of lint and its getting hot. If the unit had a gas leak, they would smell inside the house not in the vent outside. Checked all gas lines for leaks with gas leak detector. No gas leaks from the unit. All OK. If problems still persists after customer has vents cleared we will need to replace the igniter."

Inspected the unit and found no model or serial number attached to the unit. Based on the design of the unit and appears to be 20 to 30 years old. Found the unit leaking from the gearcase. Called HBW and advised of the issues and no model serial tag. Recommended to replace the unit. HBW will contact the customer regarding the unit.

"Customer states that unit is shaking a lot. With or without a load. Inspected the suspension and it is tight. It has no excessive rebound. Inner basket is tight. No error codes for out of balance stored. Inspected underside and found signs of overloading. The drive pulley has contacted the belt cover. Adjusted belt cover so it clears now. Calibrated the control, and ran diagnostics cycle. Unit is functioning as it should. Showed RAC manager unit running in high speed with no issues. They will advise the customer on operation and loading. I suspect overloading is causing excessive shaking."
