Unit isnt cooling well because it cannot move the air around because of all the frost buildup. Forced unit in the defrost to verify that the defrost is working. Defrost works as it should. Found the fresh food gasket slightly out of place in the bottom left corner. This allowed outside air and frosted up the evaporator cover. Reposition gasket and secured. "Customer states that the ice maker is inoperable, the flex drawer control isnt working properly and items are colder than desired in the flex zone. Checked control for error codes and found 39C, 40C. Both are ice maker errors. Found voltage present at the flex door harness. Display cannot be removed without damaging it to check voltage there. LED under door is inop as well. Issue is most likely the harness in the door. The flex door damper was stuck open causing it to over cool. Replaced damper supplied by SQT. Ice maker is frozen solid. It has not had the service bulletin parts installed. The unit will need the ice maker service kit, ice bucket, and flex door. Advise the customer to unplug the unit one day before we arrive to thaw out the icemaker. "Customer states that unit is leaking a small amount of water from the front. Every cycle regardless of size or setting. Ran diagnostic cycle to check for error codes and test for leak. No error code stored in the system. Unit has a small leak from the door boot. Upon further inspection, found it to have a small tear, causing it not to seal against the glass. Unit needs door boot, and door boot spring. Advised customer to make sure they are zipping pants and hoodies. Unit is 13 years old in the kitchen. Customer states unit stopped mid cycle and wouldnt complete. Unit has voltage to it. Forced unit into drain and it drained out the remaining water with no issues. Ran diagnostics cycle to test. Heater is drawing 8 amps when active. During the diagnostic cycle the control shut off. Reset power and it came back on. Control is shorting causing the issues. Unit needs main control. Unit has an overwhelming odor of mildew from sitting with water in it for so long.
