"Arrived and found out the microwave was completely dead, and would not power on. Found that we had good power at the outlet. Could not run any test on the microwave because the cabinet covered up all of the access. So I had to remove the microwave. Tested and found that it had a blown fuse. I replaced the glass fuse, and as soon as we started the microwave, it started sparking and blew the fuse again. The unit is pitting on the inside of the microwave and this is what is causing it to blow the fuse. I reassemble the unit and reinstall the microwave. The only way to fix this would be to replace the cabinetdue to the paint peeling and pitting. Spoke with American home shield, and they are reviewing the unit for replacement"

"Checked unit over, the unit was throwing an E 11 error code and this is a code for unit not filling with proper water. I found the cold water was turned on, but the hot water was completely turned off. It will throw this code if they do not have hot water going to the unit. The hot water line was leaking and I instructed them to get that replaced. There was also an excessive amount of detergent buildup. I instructed them to run one or two cycles with no detergent to help clear out the buildup."

Inspected the unit and found front and rear bearing assembly damaged. Found the control with brown burn spots and the filter assembly damaged. Several buttons in the display board not responding. The unit is 18 years old and located in the basement. Called AHS and advised of the issues. AHS to evaluate the unit for replacement.
