Unit isnt cooling well because it cannot move the air around because of all the frost buildup. Forced unit in the defrost to verify that the defrost is working. Defrost works as it should. Found the fresh food gasket slightly out of place in the bottom left corner. This allowed outside air and frosted up the evaporator cover. Reposition gasket and secured. "Customer states that the ice maker is inoperable, the flex drawer control isnt working properly and items are colder than desired in the flex zone. Checked control for error codes and found 39C, 40C. Both are ice maker errors. Found voltage present at the flex door harness. Display cannot be removed without damaging it to check voltage there. LED under door is inop as well. Issue is most likely the harness in the door. The flex door damper was stuck open causing it to over cool. Replaced damper supplied by SQT. Ice maker is frozen solid. It has not had the service bulletin parts installed. The unit will need the ice maker service kit, ice bucket, and flex door. Advise the customer to unplug the unit one day before we arrive to thaw out the icemaker. "Inspected the unit and found a clogged drain line. And that the evaporator fan and cover was encased in ice due to cracks in the liner, allowing warm air in. Provided a quote to do a temporary fix. Customer accepted. Used steamer to remove all ice from around evaporator cover. Removed all shelving and pulled unit out. Removed back kickplate. Made adjustments to the drain line. Unclogged drain line. Ran a heat line to prevent clogging. Applied Pirma gum to all cracks. Reassembled. All checks OK"

"Customer states that unit isnt cooling well. Ice cream is soft and chicken is starting to thaw. Compressor and evaporator fan are running. Condenser coil is full of pet hair. Condenser fan is not running but the fan has an inline thermostat that may not be warm enough yet. Warmed up condenser thermostat and the condenser fan came on. Unit is drawing .7 amps. This is below specification. Heat exchanger has signs of corrosion. Inspected evaporator and found it frosted over. Tested the defrost heater and it is shorted open. Bi-metal is testing closed and would not open when warming it up. Unit is cooling poorly due to a bad defrost heater and bi-metal. Unit needs heater, bi-metal, and condenser coils cleaned. ; ordrng 1 216730700 (Defrost heater) and 1 297216600 (Bi-metal)"
