Inspected the unit and found cracks behind the evaporator cover in the liner wall and a large amount of ice buildup. Icemaker was lodged in a block of ice. I provided an estimate for a temporary fix on these issues given that the liner is not repairable. Customer approved repair. Patched all cracks with pirma gum. patched around all lines and breaks in the liner coming in to the evaporator area. Also Applied silicone around the ice box to better insulate the icemaker so that less ice would appear from warm air entering in to the icebox. Provided Samsungs upgrade kit to the icemaker. Reassembled. All checks OK; used 1 DA82-02367A (Y CLIP) from stock

Upon arrival found unit unplugged. Plugged unit back in and heard compressor start up. Display was flashing 23E For a condenser fan error. Found condenser fan not running at all. Advised customer that I have no way of knowing if there are more problems without fixing that condenser fan first. Also checked behind evaporator cover for cracks in liner and found a couple. Advised customer that that is not a repairable item and that those cracks could spread. Gave customer quote for condenser fan. Advised there could be other issues beyond that repair. Customer wants time to think about repair.
