"Inspected the unit and found an error code for lid lock failure and stuck keypad. When powered on the unit made a loud beeping sound when I tried to change the wash cycle settings, as if another button was being held down as well. Entered diagnostics and found the above error codes, ran a test for the touch panel and all buttons and lights responded. Unplugged the unit for 5 minutes to rest the board. Tested the control and it failed per the tech sheet. Provided estimate to the customer for the board. Customer will contact us if they wish to move forward with the repair."

And then use the unit as normal making sure to shut the doors completely.

"Inspected the unit and found no error codes. Ran the unit through a test cycle and it locked the lid, filled with water, agitated, drained, and spun up to a high speed cycle without any issues. Checked suspension rods and found no issues. Customer having issue during a loaded cycle with it shaking violently and not completing the cycle. Issues is random and not a consistent. Tech could not locate any issues with the unit. Advised the customer to contact GE for second opinion but we could not locate any issues."
