Filled unit with water and ran the drain cycle, the drain pump functioned without any issues. Advised the customer to use GE or off brand cleaning tablets about every two weeks and to run a clean cycle. The excess suds are causing the unit to stop mid cycle and run the drain pump as it thinks the unit has too much water, this leaves the clothes still soaking wet because it did not run through a spin cycle. All other checks ok."

Well within spec. Did not adjust lower. Test upper temperature sensor and its good at room temperature. Its not shorted to ground either. Ran upper oven to get average temperature. Machine has a dead control. Resetting breaker did not help. Machine has an absent heat source error stored. This can cause a dead control. Inspected heater for warpage and leaks. No leaks but heater is slightly warped on the right. Straightened heater. Replaced control under part warranty. Ran diagnostics to test. All functions operate as they should.

Customer states that unit is not heating. It is also making a thump noise when it tumbles. Voltage to unit is correct. Found heating element shorted open causing no heat. Sump noise is roller moving back-and-forth on the shaft. This is normal for this unit to do that. Cleaned rollers of lint and verified they are running smoothly. Replaced heating element an ran test. Unit is heating as it should. Advised customer that noise is roller moving back-and-forth on shaft and this is normal.; used 1 3387747 ( Heater) from stock

Customer states that unit produced a burnt odor from it. It did finish out the cycle and did not have any error codes. Pulled unit from under counter and inspected wiring. No burnt or loose connections anywhere in the unit. Control board is in good shape as well. Heater is good. Motor is good. Ran unit to test. When unit was running large amount of suds was produced from overfilling the rinse aid dispenser. Odor was most likely coming from the drain pump running to clear suds.
