Devon at HBW; unit is leaking water. Found that the refrigerator sections drain line is clogged up. After thawing the unit out the tech ran a snake down the defrost drain line and could only get about a foot in. The customer had a shift in the insulation between the liner and the cabinet. No way of clearing out the drain line. Advised warranty company they do not cover the insulation issues. Also noticed ice build up on the liner where the Freon line is touching the liner.

"Inspected unit and found cosmetic scratches or issues with the control panel and with the door. It appears the plastic protective cover over the keypad was removed prior to install, allowing damage to occur. Ran a test cycle and the unit heated without any issues. Customer stated that the unit does not always consistently run and she has to make adjustments to the door by pushing up on it to allow the door switches to activate and for the unit to run. Advised the customer they need to get a cosmetic concessions number from GE for us to order the door and control. Customer stated they have had this issue since the unit was installed."

"Customer stated the freezer door was damaged upon delivery and neither doors have the studs or handles. Customer said the manufacture ordered the doors in September 2020 and they just received them in June 2021. We are unable to order the parts due to the unit being out of the 30 day cosmetic warranty timeframe. I advised the customer they can contact Frigidaire and have them send us a cosmetic concessions number covering parts and labor or the customer can request Frigidaire resend them the freezer door, 2X handles for the doors, 4X set screws for the handles, and 4X stud screws for the handle and doors."

Inspected the unit and found it still in the box. Customer stated they just received the unit within the last 30 days and it was damaged upon arrival. They called American home shield American home shield told them to call GE because it would be covered underneath warranty. Took pictures of the box and the unit and found the door misaligned and the hinges damaged along with the side of the unit damaged and the frame of it damaged. Called GE and they stated that the damage is not from manufacturer defect but was damage due to shipping and that the customer should reach back out to American home shield or the shipping company to resolve the issue. Shipping damage is not covered underneath GE warranty. This unit was purchased by American home shield to replace an old microwave.
