Inspected unit and found damage to the side panel. Photo attached of damage. Customer stated unit has been making weird noises ever since it was installed. Ran a test cycle and could hear the drum rubbing up against the side panel that was damaged and bent in. Attempted to make adjustments to the panel to keep it from rubbing up against the drum but was unsuccessful. I advised the customer we will need to order the side panel along with two support wheels and the drum belt. I also advised the customer if they continue to use the unit with this defect it will cause extra stress on the motor and cause it to fail early. Customer declined repair and would be returning the unit.

Upon arrival customer stated that unit would power up but you could not select a cycle or start a cycle. They tried it this morning and it started okay. Removed top to inspect for loose connections. None found. Powered unit on and tried to select a cycle but it would not select. Reset control and ran to test. Can only get cycle to select when putting pressure on knob as you turn. Found signs of corrosion and moisture in console. This shorted it out. Moisture is getting between door from interference with panel.
