"Inspected the dryer. Customer was under the impression that it was the push to start switch, which I tested and found that the switch was operating correctly. It appears that the timer had failed causing the dryer not to kick on. I gave the customer the quote for the part and the labor to install it. Customer declined to do the repair at this time. He wants to seek other options before making a decision on investing, any more money into this 25 year old dryer."

Installed new wire harness per tech line instructions and calibrated the washer. I then tested the washer on an automatic test cycle. Unit is now communicating and operating as it should.

Ran several testing and readings with my multimeter. Everything is working through diagnostics heater is working on the filter tube. Water valve is dispensing water when it needs to icemaker is harvesting and doing everything it should do but the problem is is the main control after this thing goes out of diagnostics is not communicating with the heater and the fill tube is freezing right at the point where it goes into the icemaker. I tested it with another heater that I had in my truck and I also tested it side-by-side with the heater that is there all the testing voltage and om readings are exactly the same so my prognosis is they need a main control I gave the customer a quote for a price waiting on them to decide whether not they want to repair or replace.
