"Inspected unit and found the fresh food and freezer section much warmer than normal. Found ice buildup behind both the fresh food and freezer section evaporator covers causing the drain lines for both sections to be completely frozen over and clogged. This has caused water to leak from the drain channels in both sections and leak onto the ground surrounding the unit. The ice buildup has caused the fans to go out and is preventing the unit from maintain temperature. There are hairline cracks behind the fresh food and freezer section evaporators which are allowing warm air to enter into both sections and cause the unit to overproduce ice and lead to clogging the drain lines. The unit is not repairable as the liners are not a repairable/replaceable part on the unit. The only option is to have the unit replaced which the tech also recommends. The damage to unit is normal wear and tear and its not due to neglect or lack of care for the unit. The unit is 11 years old, the only refrigerator in the home and located in the kitchen.
