"Check unit over, found that the igniter was not heating up and the clock would flash on and off. Found that the wire harness for the igniter was cutting into the frame and grounding out repaired wire harness for igniter. We were still not receiving any power at the igniter. Checked the control board and the control board was sending power. Looks like the wires is there running through the cabinet have worn and cut throughdue to the wires going into the cabinet area it is not somewhere we can repair or access the wires. Unit going into options."

Inspected the unit and found multiple error codes for oversudes. While running a stress test on the motor found excessive amount of detergent suds buildup inside of the unit. Cleared error codes and recalibrate the unit. Stress test on the water valves and drain pump and found no issues. Ran a clean cycle to flush out excess detergent. Excess suds build up can cause unit to through to run through a flood safety cycle and shut down early and leave the clothes wet than normal. Advised the customer to use affresh cleaning tablets by Whirlpool at least every other week to help prevent smell buildup and to keep the unit from oversudsing and running through a flood safety cycle.

Upon reassembling the unit found the base plate for the dryer was warped due to prolonged exposure to the heat of the dryer. Found the idler pulley, motor, belt and drum would not realign due to the base plate bowing out and not allowing the parts to realign. Base of the unit is not repairable. Inspected the unit and found water sitting in the bottom of the refrigerator section and some ice buildup on the back wall of the refrigerator. Found small amounts of ice also in the freezer section on the back wall. Advised the customer to completely defrost the unit for 48 hours with the doors open to help resolve any ice buildup and then give 24 hours to get back to the correct ranges.

"Inspected the unit and found the bottom glass door broken. Also, customer stated that the front right burner switch is not working properly and not heating on the inner and middle ring. Informed the customer of the repair on the glass door and the infinite switch. Customer did not want to proceed further with the cost of the repair. Unit is approximately 8 to 10 years old."
