"Customers concerned that the unit keeps powering off or indicating the door is not closed and stopping during the middle of a cycle. Attached the GE electronic device to the unit and ran a test cycle and found multiple alerts for power loss. While running the test cycle, the unit lost power and shut down. Inspected the rear of the unit at the terminal block and found only 120 V between line 1 and 2. Inspected the wall outlet and found the same. The dryer would not turn on. Unplugged the unit and plugged it back in and the unit powered on. Checked voltage and found 240v between line 1 and 2. Found no other defects with the dryer. Recommended the customer contact an electrician to discovery the unit is loosing power intermittently."

Inspected the unit and found that I could not turn on the breaker as it would flip it right back off. Disassemble the unit. Combed through all wiring and found no signs of a ground. Found nothing out of the ordinary. Found no charring no signs of the unit grounding out somewhere. Could not test certain items due to power not being able to stay on to the unit.

"Checked over the unit and found no heat coming from the unit. Disassembled the unit and found a fuse blown on the heating element, put a new fuse on it and checked the voltage, going through the lines and found that the motor was faulty and after checking the motor found that the power coming out of the motor was not the correct amount of voltage. Called and informed property management of the cost. And they did not want to proceed further."
