"Installed part, recalibrated and ran a test cycle. The motor would not activate and agitate or spin the basket. Called GE techline and we tested each component of the unit and found the motor, shift actuator, and splutch kit, and transmission was also damaged. After running several tests it was determined that the unit had to of been affected by a lighting strike or similar issue to have caused so match damage to the unit. Due to the cost and extent of repair the unit is not repairable and needs to be replaced. Customer to file with home owners insurance."

Was overlooking the unit and found a large amount of water build up in the bottom of the flex drawer. Also found water and ice build up in the bottom of fresh food section as well. Took evaporator cover off and found drain line frozen up as well as some cracks starting to form. Showed customer and informed them that these cracks were not repairable and more could form. Sealed up cracks with Perma gum. Also advised keeping the unit on power freeze to help the freezer.

"Unit is under manufacturer warranty. Customer states that unit stops mid cycle in automatic settings. Usually runs about 2 minutes then shuts down. Unit operates fine in timed dry cycles. Ran diagnostics with HASS app. Unit has DC error. Door switch is operating as it should. Ran diagnostics cycle with no issues. Moisture sensors are within normal cycle to test. Unit shut down after 2 minutes. No load in the unit so this is normal. If it senses no moisture it will shorten the cycle. Unable to duplicate concern. Advise customer to use and monitor. If problem reoccurs occurs, the unit will need the main control."

Inspected the unit and found a large amount of detergent and dirt buildup around the door and boot. Not allowing the door to seal properly and in return allowing water to leak out the front between the bellow and the door. Cleaned up what I could with paper towel. Advised that the customer get a cleaning agent to assist in keeping the detergent residue down. And just to ensure that the bellow and door stay free from debris so that the unit can keep a tight seal.
