"Customer states that the unit is freezing everything on the top shelf. Not getting any frost build up on back like previously. Checked for error code and unit has 25C error. Defrost sensor error. Defrost sensor and heater have been replaced. Removed evaporator cover to inspect. Normal amount of frost on evaporator and fan is running as it should. Temp set to 39. Compressor, condenser fan, and evaporator fan are running as they should. Contacted Samsung tech line and per their suggestion the main control needs replaced because the board isnt reading the defrost sensor. Picked up board and installed. Verified compressor came on. Unit will defrost properly now."

Upon arrival found unit showing D90 air flow error. Ran unit with vent disconnected and unit did not show error. Temperature is cycling as it should. Hooked unit back to vent and it showed error code. Advised customer to have vent modified to improve the air flow.

Inspected unit and found error codes for over suds. Ran a test cycle and found a large amount of detergent and suds in the inner basket and found the drain line running too far down into the drain. Installed drain pump and made adjustments to the drain line installed the wire tie. Advised the customer to use the fresh cleaning tablets on a regular basis to break down the detergent build up. All checks ok.; used 1 W11390781 (Wire tie) from stock

Installed parts and found the boil element wire harness had shorted out. Repaired wire harness. Ran a test cycle and found a large amount of smoke coming from the element. I advised the customer of the smoke and advised them to open up the windows throughout the house and run broil cycles for about 15 to 20 minutes to allow any food or gunk on the elements to burn off. All checks OK
