Inspected the unit and found the inner and middle glass on the oven door had shattered into 1 million small pieces and small particles like sand all inside the unit. The customer stated they ran a clean cycle and it caused the glass to shatter. Found no signs of fowl play or anything the customer could do to damage the glass. Advised the customer that the damaged glass is not covered under the warranty and advised them to contact GE for a cosmetic concession. The customer asked if the small particles of glass could have gotten inside the fan area since the fan was running when the glass broke. I advised and showed the customer that some of the glass is as small as sand and is very possible it has blown around inside the unit. Tech recommends the unit be replaced due to the future hazard the glass presents. If the repair is approved and they replace the glass the customer will need to clean the unit thoroughly before using.

Inspected unit and found a sheet of ice layering the bottom of the freezer indicating a frozen drain line. Customer stated this has happened before as well. She also stated the fridge was freezing all her produce. I found the temps were set at 33? for the fridge and -5? for the freezer. I set them at the recommended 37? and 0?.
