Unit is 16 years old in the kitchen. Customer states that the freezer section isnt cooling well. Fresh food seems okay. New items are not freezing and ice cream is soft. Compressor is running no freezer evaporator fan is running. No excessive frost build up on the cover. Inspected compressor; found it running hot and amp draw at 1.5. Condenser coils are very dirty. Unit cannot exchange the heat efficiently because of a dirty condenser. Cleaned coils and compressor area. Checked amp draw again and it is around 1 amp now. Closer to spec. If problem persists the compressor is running inefficiently and would need replaced. Advised customer to monitor temps.

Customer states that the fresh food isnt sealing well. They are getting condensation build up inside. Inspected gaskets and found the right door not sealing at the bottom and the dispenser door not closing fully. After further inspection of the cabinet I found the mullion between the freezer and fresh food section bowed out. This is causing a gap and allowing air/moisture in. The dispenser door isnt closing all the way because it is interfering with the ice box. To get the doors even the dispenser door had to be raised to the max. This is why it is interfering with the ice box. With a flashlight inside the unit and doors closed you can see the light from outside on the right. No door adjustments can be made to eliminate the gap. Called Electrolux and video chat with Eric. Determined that this unit is not repairable. File/claim # 86635268. Electrolux will reach out in the next 3-5 business days.

"Found the agitator was loose. Tightened down the agitator. Also found that the Gearcase was making some grinding noise during agitation. This was an intermittent. I did inform the customer that the only way to make that noise go away was to replace the transmission. Which is no longer available. It is also not cost-effective."

Customer states that the unit is heating but the control shuts down on its own. Mostly during the heavy duty cycle. No error codes stored in the system. Ran diagnostics test and unit heats fine. Moisture sensor tests good as well. Thermistor sensor is testing within spec. Ran unit to test but I could not duplicate the concern of shut down. Removed top to inspect main pcb and connections. No loose or damaged connections. Unable to duplicate concern of intermittent shut down. If the problem reoccurs it is most likely a bad pcb.
